Community Garden
One of our more recent additions to the community centre is the community garden, built in June, 2014. Located on the east side of the community centre, the garden hosts 8 beds available for the public to use.

Annual Garage Sale
The West End Community Centre relies on donations and fundraisers to help maintain the upkeep of the centre and for hosting projects and programs. Each February we start to collect items for our annual garage sale which is held in early March.
Please keep us in mind as you do your spring cleaning and help support the community centre by donating your unwanted items. (Please no clothes or bedding)
Be sure to check out the sale when it happens. We have great prices and are open to offers. By the end of the day we start our “fill a bag for a $1.” The bigger the bag the bigger the deal!
Skate Shack
The skate shack is a great place to warm up after a fun game of pickup hockey. The ice can be ready as early as November. We will let you know when it is ready. Check back here, or join our Facebook group.
The skate shack hours depend on the weather and the availability of our skate shack attendants.
Generally the hours are as follows:
Week nights: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
Weekends: 2:00pm – 11:00pm
If you are interested in being a skate shack attendant please contact us (must be 18 or older).
Skate Shack Attendant Duties include but are not limited to:
– Opening and closing the shack
– Emptying garbages
– Maintenance of the ice
– Enforcing the skate shack rules
